Beaver Colony History

In 1993, William Wong started our Beaver Colony with four other leaders and 20 Beavers. During the first two years of operation, most of our activities were limited to meeting in the Terry Fox Public School.

The Scouting year of 1995-6 was the turning point of our Colony. We recruited three new leaders.  Our Colony started to grow and venture out of the school. On October 14, 1995, we took part in our first Apple Day. In November 1996, our Beavers experienced our first sleepover at the Woodland Trail Camp Site. Thereafter, we started to conduct more and more outdoor activities, visits and sleepovers.
